The Toronto Black Media Association plans to become a not-for-profit organization that assists with the push for diversity in media by providing Black people with accessible opportunities and education to work in media that they may not be able to get elsewhere.
In our aim to be an online safe-space for Black media workers, we also hope that this will lead the community to support each other in their media careers. Eventually, we will establish a Toronto Black Media Fund for the city’s Black content creators to produce more content that represents us.
